FC Stumbras Kaunas is actively continuing preparation work for the upcoming A league season. Club has signed contract with a midfielder from Brazil Mateus Gama. Also Stumbras has added three young Lithuanian prospects to its roster.

Arnas Paura and Deividas Raulinaitis comes from National Football Academy in Kaunas and Arnas Borodinas is arriving from FK Utenis where he played last year.

The 24 year old M. Gama has Portuguese nationality and has been playing for the clubs of Portugal lower leagues for the past seven years.

“I feel very happy to join Stumbras and I can promise that I will work hard and hope to contribute to team performance. I’m happy to be here. I feel comfortable playing as an attacking midfielder and helping attackers to finish”, – said new signing of FC Stumbras.

Other newcomers of the club A. Borodinas, A. Paura and D. Raulinaitis are Lithuanian youth teams members and have experience of I lyga matches.

These are not the last additions to Stumbras squad. This week club will announce several new signings who are still working on a training ground to impress coaches.

Stumbras will start the season against newcomers FK Panevėžys at home on saturday.
