FC Stumbras sign goalkeeper Nemanja Bjelan

FC Stumbras is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Nemanja Bjelan from FK Kauno Zalgiris.

The 23-year-old Serbian already participated in FC Stumbras first training session on Monday after short summer holidays.

N. Bjelan started his career in Serbia where he represented local FC Sindjelic and OFK Mladenovac before joining Lithuanian side FBK Kaunas.

He spent last season playing for FK Nevezis in Lithuanian second division (LFF Pirma lyga) but moved to A lyga team FK Kauno Zalgiris this February.

N. Bjelan have 11 caps in A lyga this season including experience playing against his new teammates from FC Stumbras.

Goalkeeper has dual citizenship of Serbia and Croatia but for the last three years he has been living in Lithuania and even speaks Lithuanian.

N. Bjelan said:
